School Group Visits

We cater to all age groups; from pre-schoolers to tertiary students, school holiday programmes, ESL and special needs groups.

Bullswool Farm Park offers an exceptional Learning Outside the Classroom experience. Visits are a mixture of curriculum-based learning, practical skills development, and hands-on rural fun. Visits are well-structured and organised, with excellent facilities for large groups. Every effort is made to make visits run smoothly, and the resources provided make planning and organising as easy as possible for teachers.

Visits are fun and relaxed, and are a high point of the learning year for students, staff and parents alike.

What we offer:

Hands-On Animal Encounters — Bullswool Farm is home to a wide variety of rare-breed farm animals (miniature horses, poultry, donkeys, goats, ) that are friendly and can be hand-fed. 
Play & Exploration Spaces — Our unique Play Paddocks offer quality play structures and activities where children can run, explore, and play.  
Outdoor & Nature Learning — The farm features a Bush Discovery Trail within a Native Bird Reserve, giving children a chance to learn about native birds, trees, freshwater life, and New Zealand ecology in a safe, natural setting.

Heritage — Bullswool Farm has several Heritage Museumss. Our Sheep-shearing Shed, Milking Shed, Tool Shed and Horse Museum fascinate children, and provide rich learning opportunities. 
Top Rock Walk – Top Rock sits at the very top of our farm, and is on a ridge between the Coromandel and Kaimai Mountain Ranges. It is a challenging but achievable climb for even quite young children. The views from Top Rock are extensive, and take in much of our region. Children delight in figuring out where their town or home is in relation to the great expanse of land.
