Play Paddock

Home to three generations of our family, the farm has a diverse and interesting array of rarebreed farm animals.

Enjoy good old-fashioned fun in our amazing Play Paddock!

Imagination, creativity and fun all converge in our amazing Play Paddock. Designed and built by award-winning sculptor Tony Howse, the Play Paddock is an unforgettable part of every child’s visit to Bullswool Farm.

Bullswool Heritage Farm is located in the Karangahake Gorge, off State Highway 2, between Paeroa and Waihi. Bullswool Heritage Farm is 90 minutes from central Auckland, travelling South on State Highway 2. We are a 50 minutes drive from Hamilton and 60 minutes from Tauranga. Waihi Beach, one of New Zealand’s most popular beaches, is only a 25 minute drive away.

A magical day for the kids!

We visited Bullswoof Farm Park during our road trip through the Coromandel, and it was hands-down the kids’ favorite stop. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. The interactive animal areas were a huge hit — my youngest couldn’t stop talking to the goats! The wooden play structures were imaginative and safe, and the mini bike track kept them entertained for ages. It’s rare to find a place that blends nature, play, and kindness so beautifully. We’ll definitely be back!”

The animals were so friendly and added so much joy to our experience. The park is a fantastic destination for families with young children. There are plenty of fun wooden structures, like trucks and a helicopter–perfect for kids to explore. My grandson especially loved the small bikes for toddlers and the track.
